Y Combinator-backed startup Verbling has raised $1 million from DFJ, Learn Capital, Start Fund, Inspovation Ventures, SV Angel, Meck Investments, Ace & Company, and others. Verbling aims to connect language learners with native speakers, in a bid to help them learn a new language. This is similar to Rosetta Stone’s TOTALe learning suite, a direct competitor. The new funding will be used towards hiring. (Also, super disclosure on the above list of investors).
